Celtics' Red-Hot Offense Makes Franchise, League History In Blowout Of Nets

The Boston Celtics destroyed the Brooklyn Nets on Friday by a score of 148-111, and Boston’s offense made some history in the process.

The Celtics’ 66.7 percent field goal percentage on the night was the second-best FG percentage in a game in franchise history. Only the 1984-85 Celtics did better with a 67.9 percent shooting game on November 21, 1984, against the Golden State Warriors.

The Celtics posted their second-best field-goal percentage in team history tonight at 66.7%.

In addition, Boston’s 80.8 effective field goal percentage on the night was the highest EFG in a game in NBA history.

Everywhere you look in the Celtics’ box score, you see efficient shooting. The trio of Jaylen Brown, Nikola Vucevic, and Payton Pritchard were a combined 27-of-37 from the field and 11-of-12 from three for a combined 78 points.

It’s safe to say that we won’t see a shooting performance like this on an NBA court for a long, long time.
