Red Sox Drop Three Straight As West Coast Road Trip Continues

The Red Sox dropped a third straight game late Saturday night, falling 5-1 to the Arizona Diamondbacks. It was their sixth straight loss to Arizona.

The last four starting pitchers for the Red Sox have delivered shaky or out-of-character performances, including Saturday’s pitcher, Lucas Giolito, who allowed four runs and walked three while only striking out two.

Masataka Yoshida, who batted in the leadoff spot for the first time in his Major League career, drove in the sole Red Sox run. Ceddanne Rafaela made a spectacular catch to rob a home run from Corbin Carroll.
