The Boston Celtics bounced back from a disappointing loss to the Denver Nuggets by blowing the doors off the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night. With the final score settling in at 148-111, the C’s turned in a historically efficient performance on offense, and per usual, Jaylen Brown was leading the charge for Boston.

While all eyes are on Jayson Tatum as he closes in on a return from injury, Brown has continued to lead the Celtics to victory. Against Brooklyn, Brown poured in 28 points, nine assists and seven rebounds while hitting nine of his 12 field goal attempts from the floor. It was just another strong performance in what has been an MVP-caliber campaign for Brown, and it’s clear he’s having a blast this season.

“Winning is fun…I just smile and play Celtics basketball,” Brown said after the game.

With this game in the books, Brown is now averaging 29.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game this year. His role may change once Tatum returns to the court, but considering how solid Brown has been this season, he’s going to remain the focal point of the offense for the rest of the year.

Excitement is building in Boston that a deep playoff run could be in the cards this postseason, and as long as Brown keeps playing at this level, it seems like anything is possible for this team. The Celtics will be back in action on Sunday night when they square off against the Philadelphia 76ers.
